About Us
What do we believe?
The Bible is our creed. We believe that the Bible is entirely true and
inspired by God. Therefore, any effort to define what we believe requires us to emphasize the WHOLE Word of God as the source of our core
beliefs.
We are a nondenominational church, a family that meets together to fulfill God's plan for our lives. It is unrealistic to think
that any individual, man-made system of beliefs is error free, or conversely, without merit at all. It is therefore our desire
to simply teach the Bible; be true to its original languages; and be respectful to its historical context. We teach that the Bible
is a gift from God given to be used and understood by all who would believe in its message.
Our nonnegotiable, core beliefs which transcend labels are:
- We believe in the inspiration of the Bible; in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; in the virgin birth of Christ.
- We believe in Jesus Christ's blood atonement that provides forgiveness for sin and delivers us from the judgment for sin
that awaits all mankind.
- We believe in His bodily resurrection and second coming to establish His kingdom upon the earth, followed by the millenial
reign of Christ after which He will create a new heaven and a new earth.
How Can I Become Part of the Church Family?
The easiest way to become part of our church family is to simply show up to church and become involved. We also offer official
membership to those who would like to be counted as official members of the church.
There is a three step process to becoming a member.
- Share your testimony with one of the pastors. Tell us about when you trusted Jesus as your Savior.
- Be baptized after you trusted Jesus to be your Savior.
- Read through the Church Constitution and sign a form that says you agree to abide by it.
In our hearts we feel that anyone who comes to CCC on a regular basis and is involved in our ministries is already part
of our church family.
Teach God's Word
We believe that the Bible is the instruction manual for life. It was sufficient in the day that it was written for
Godly living and is still sufficient today to direct our lives.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Learning Together - Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM we provide an opportunity for the whole family to study
the Word of God together in our worship services.
Growing Stronger - Throughout the week, we offer Sunday School, Wednesday Night Gathering, Small Groups and Bible Studies.
Romans 10:17 reminds us "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
Communion
Jesus said to take communion "as often as you will" (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). We have chosen to celebrate
communion bi-monthly. Since the purpose of communion is to remember what Christ's death has done for us, anyone who has a
sincere faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior may partake in communion.
Baptism
We believe that baptism by immersion should be administered following your confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
as a symbol of spiritual regeneration. Please see Matthew 3:13-17; 26:26-28; Acts 8:26-39; 16:30-33; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
